Pulled Pork Preparation

Prepare the Pork
Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.

Seasoning
In a bowl, mix smoked paprika, brown sugar, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork chunks.

Cooking
Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and barbecue sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart easily.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
Coleslaw Preparation

Prepare the Vegetables
Finely shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot.

Mix the Dressing
In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Combine
Add the shredded cabbage and carrot to the dressing. Toss well to coat all the vegetables.

Chill
Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Assemble the Sandwich
Place a generous amount of pulled pork on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Top with coleslaw and close with the top half of the bun.
