Lemonade Ingredients

Method

Lemonade Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Roll the fresh lemons on a hard surface using your palm to soften them. Cut each lemon in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or a fork, making sure to remove any seeds that may fall into the juice.

  2. 2

    Mixing Sugar and Water

In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of hot water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a simple syrup.

  3. 3

    Combining Ingredients

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice (from the 4 lemons) and the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher with the simple syrup. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  4. 4

    Chilling the Lemonade

Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or water to your liking. If desired, add mint leaves for an extra refreshing flavor. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill.

  5. 5

    Serving the Lemonade

When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemonade over the ice. Garnish with additional mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.
