Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweetened tea, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or honey while the tea is still warm. Stir until fully dissolved.

Chilling the Tea

  1. 5

    Cool the Tea

Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours until chilled.

Serving the Iced Tea

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

In a large glass or pitcher, add 4 cups of ice cubes.

  2. 7

    Combine Tea and Water

Pour the chilled tea over the ice, and add 2 cups of cold water to dilute the tea to your preferred strength.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Optionally, garnish with fresh lemon slices, mint leaves, or peach slices for added flavor.
