Chicken Wings
Ranch Dressing
Method
Chicken Wings Preparation
- 1
In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all spices are evenly distributed.
- 2
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they are not wet. This will help the coating stick better.
- 3
Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 4
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- 6
Remove fried chicken wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Repeat the frying process for all wings.
Ranch Dressing Preparation
- 7
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise and buttermilk. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
- 8
Add dried dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the mayonnaise mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 9
Taste the ranch dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.
