Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- 2
Cook the Shrimp
In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the shrimp, salt, and black pepper, cooking until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- 3
Make the Vodka Sauce
Pour in the vodka and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to cook off the alcohol. Stir in the heavy cream and crushed red pepper flakes, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 4
Finish the Dish
Add the cooked shrimp to the vodka sauce, mixing well to coat. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.
- 5
Assemble the Bruschetta
Top each toasted bread slice with a generous spoonful of the shrimp and vodka sauce mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!
