Bruschetta Topping

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick pieces. Brush each side with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Remove from the oven and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Topping

Dice the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Top each toasted bread slice with a generous spoonful of the tomato and mozzarella mixture.

  5. 5

    Drizzle with Balsamic Reduction

Finish by drizzling aged balsamic reduction over each bruschetta and serve immediately.
