Burger Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Mayonnaise
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and minced garlic. Mix well until the garlic is evenly distributed. Set aside.
- 2
Form the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a thin patty, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip them over. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 4
Toast the Buns
While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Burger
Spread a generous amount of the garlic mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a cooked patty topped with melted cheese. Add two tomato slices and two pickle slices on top of each patty. Finally, place the top half of the bun on each burger.
