Pasta Preparation

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Add Cheeses
Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese, mixing until fully melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Fried Chicken Preparation

Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, soak the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize.

Prepare Coating
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in the flour mixture, and fry until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
Bacon Preparation

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop into pieces.
Assembly

Combine and Serve
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, mixing well. Top with fried chicken pieces and bacon. Serve with a pretzel pole on the side.
