Beef Patty

Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a large bowl, combine Certified Angus Beef ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine, then shape the mixture into a single large patty, about 1 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef patty and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a crust forms.

  3. 3

    Flip and Add Cheese

Flip the patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Place the American cheese slice on top of the patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 4

    Caramelize Onions

In a separate skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and golden brown (about 15-20 minutes).

  2. 5

    Prepare Lettuce and Pickles

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice pickles as desired.

  3. 6

    Make the Secret Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together your favorite condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.) to create a delicious secret sauce.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 7

    Toast the Bun

Lightly toast the hamburger bun in a dry skillet or toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the lettuce, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, and finally drizzle the secret sauce over the top. Place the top half of the bun to finish.
