Main Ingredients

Au Jus

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a medium saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  2. 2

    Slice the Roast Beef

Thinly slice the roast beef against the grain. This will ensure tenderness and better texture in the sandwich.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Hoagie Rolls

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through. Leave a hinge so the rolls can hold the filling.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Sandwiches

On each hoagie roll, layer the sliced roast beef generously, followed by slices of Dubliner cheese. You can warm the sandwiches in an oven or toaster oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese if desired.

  2. 5

    Serve with Au Jus

Serve the assembled sandwiches immediately with a small bowl of the prepared au jus for dipping. Enjoy your Irish Dip!
