Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water (110°F/45°C) and sugar, and sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead Dough
Mix until a dough forms, then transfer to a floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Assembling the Pizza
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 6
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 12-inch circle.
- 7
Add Marinara Sauce
Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the base.
- 8
Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering it evenly.
- 9
Add Toppings
Layer double the amount of pepperoni slices and pineapple chunks on top of the cheese.
- 10
Bake Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- 11
Slice and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
