Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a large skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until they are crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Flip occasionally for even cooking. Once done, remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls

If using day-old cinnamon rolls, cut them into thick slices (about 1-inch). For fresh cinnamon rolls, bake according to package instructions, let them cool slightly, and then slice.

French Toast Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix the Egg Mixture

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 4

Cook the Cinnamon Roll French Toast

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter. Dip each slice of cinnamon roll into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Place the soaked slices on the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve and Enjoy

Serve the cinnamon roll French toast warm, topped with crispy bacon, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar. Add extra butter on top if desired.
