Method
Prep the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps ensure they get crispy when baked.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Bake the Wings
- 3
Arrange the Wings
Place the seasoned chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are not touching.
- 4
Bake
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
Make the Buffalo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and vinegar. Stir until well combined and heated through.
Prepare the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 7
Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, combine blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth, leaving some chunks of blue cheese for texture.
Toss the Wings
- 8
Coat the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are fully coated.
Serve
- 9
Plate the Wings
Serve the buffalo wings hot with the blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
