Dough Preparation
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.
Combine Ingredients
Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Stir until a dough begins to form.
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Pizza Assembly
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness, about 1/8 inch for a thin crust.
Prepare Pizza Base
Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Add Sauce and Cheese
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small edge for the crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
Add Toppings
Evenly distribute pepperoni slices (or your choice of topping) over the cheese.
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Cool and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
