For the Mac'n'Cheese Donut Holes

Method

For the Mac'n'Cheese Donut Holes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mac'n'Cheese

Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to pot.

  2. 2

    Mix the Cheese

Add sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, milk, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper to the macaroni. Stir until fully combined and creamy.

  3. 3

    Make the Dough

In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the mac'n'cheese mixture until well combined.

  4. 4

    Shape the Donut Holes

Using your hands, scoop out small portions of the mac'n'cheese dough and roll them into balls.

  5. 5

    Coat in Cheetos

Roll each donut hole in the crushed Flamin' Hot Cheetos until well coated.

  6. 6

    Fry the Donut Holes

Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry donut holes in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Fancy Sauce

Mix ranch dressing with a touch of hot sauce if desired. Serve alongside the donut holes.

  8. 8

    Garnish

Chop green onions and sprinkle over the donut holes before serving.
