Method
Cooking Pasta

Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Reserve Pasta Water
Before draining the spaghetti, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. This will be used to help create the sauce.

Drain the Pasta
Drain the spaghetti and set aside, but do not rinse it.
Preparing the Sauce

Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.

Whisk the Eggs and Cheese
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined.

Plate the Dish
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired, and additional grated Parmesan and black pepper on top.
