Method

Preparing the Coffee

  1. 1

    Brew the Espresso

Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and allow it to cool down slightly.

  2. 2

    Sweeten the Coffee

Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar to the hot espresso and stir until dissolved.

Making the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 3

    Whisk the Egg Yolks

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Mascarpone

Gently fold in 1 cup of mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until fully combined.

  3. 5

    Whip the Heavy Cream

In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

  4. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth and creamy.

Assembling the Tiramisu

  1. 7

    Prepare the Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the sweetened espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 8

    Layer the Tiramisu

Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a rectangular dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.

  3. 9

    Repeat the Layers

Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Finishing Touch

  1. 10

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 11

    Dust with Cocoa
