Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Base Ingredients

In a mixing glass, combine the gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari. Stir well for about 30 seconds to chill and dilute the mixture.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Clarification Mixture

In a separate bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes. Once bloomed, gently heat it until dissolved.

  3. 3

    Combine for Clarification

Add the egg whites to the base cocktail mixture and then add the dissolved gelatin mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Chill and Clarify

Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours. This will help the egg whites to coagulate and clarify the cocktail.

  5. 5

    Strain the Mixture

After chilling, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the solids.

  6. 6

    Serve the Cocktail

Pour the clarified cocktail into a chilled glass. Garnish with a twist of orange peel for aroma and presentation.
