Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, and then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add fresh rosemary sprigs on top.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 450°F or 232°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (135°F or 57°C for medium-rare).

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Peel and Cut Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into quarters for even cooking.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the potatoes in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Add garlic cloves and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Drain and Mash

Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy, adjusting milk for desired consistency.

  4. 9

    Serve

Serve the garlic mashed potatoes alongside the grilled ribeye steak.
