Mixing the Drink
- 1
Prepare Your Glass
Start by chilling a rocks glass or an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water. Set it aside while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 1 ounce of Nolet's Gin, 1 ounce of Campari, and 1 ounce of Carpano Antica.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to the top. This will help chill and dilute your cocktail as you stir.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled. The goal is to mix the ingredients and chill them without over-diluting.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Remove the ice water from the chilled rocks glass. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass over fresh ice cubes.
Garnishing
- 6
Prepare the Orange Twist
Using a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife, cut a thin strip of orange peel, making sure to avoid the bitter white pith.
- 7
Add the Garnish
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils and then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
