Preparing the Tea

Boil Water
Start by bringing 2 cups of fresh water to a rolling boil in a kettle.

Steep Tea
Once the water has boiled, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves to the water. Allow the tea to steep for about 5 minutes for a robust flavor.

Add Bergamot
After 5 minutes of steeping, add 1 teaspoon of bergamot essential oil to the tea and stir gently to combine.
Serving the Tea

Strain and Sweeten
Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups. Add 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar to taste, and stir until dissolved.

Add a slice of lemon to each cup for an added citrus note.
