Facial Oil
Method
Preparation
- 1
Gather Your Materials
Before starting, make sure you have your Gua Sha stone and facial oils ready.
- 2
Mix the Facial Oil
In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil and 1 tablespoon of rosehip oil. If desired, add 3 drops of your chosen essential oil for fragrance.
Gua Sha Technique
- 3
Apply Facial Oil
Using your fingertips, apply the mixed facial oil evenly across your face, focusing on areas where you want to promote circulation and relaxation.
- 4
Begin Gua Sha
Hold the Gua Sha stone at a 15-30 degree angle against your skin. Starting from the center of your face, gently scrape the stone outward toward your hairline. Repeat this motion for 5-10 strokes on each area (forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck).
- 5
Focus on Problem Areas
For areas of tension or puffiness, like the under-eye area or jawline, you can spend extra time using lighter pressure, ensuring you don’t apply too much force.
- 6
Finish the Routine
After you have completed the scraping motions on your entire face, take a moment to relax and let the oils absorb into your skin. You can follow up with your regular skincare routine if desired.
