Yogurt and Crème Fraiche Mixture

Method

Hibiscus Preparation

  1. 1

    Make Hibiscus Tea

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers and simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve. Sweeten with honey or sugar to taste. Allow to cool completely.

Nashi Pear Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare Nashi Pear

Wash and core the nashi pears. Slice them thinly and toss with lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside.

Oat Crisp Preparation

  1. 3

    Make Oat Crisp

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until the oats are well coated. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from oven and let cool.

Yogurt and Crème Fraiche Mixture

  1. 4

    Mix Yogurt and Crème Fraiche

In a bowl, combine 1 cup of plain yogurt and 1 cup of crème fraîche. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Dish

In serving bowls, layer the yogurt and crème fraîche mixture, followed by the sliced nashi pears, and then drizzle with the cooled hibiscus tea. Top with the oat crisp for a delightful crunch.
