Method
Preparing the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black currant tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them.

Cool the Tea
Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Sweetening the Tea (optional)

Make Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sweetener is fully dissolved.

Cool Syrup
Remove the syrup from heat and allow it to cool before using.
Serving the Tea

Prepare Glasses
Fill glasses with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top.

Pour Tea
Pour the chilled black currant tea over the ice in each glass.

Add Sweetener (if using)
If you made the simple syrup, add it to the tea to taste, stirring gently to combine.

Garnish and Serve
Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon. Serve immediately and enjoy!
