Prepare Jalapeños
Wash the jalapeños and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor or leave some for extra heat.

In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Fill Jalapeños
Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture, making sure to pack it in well.

Bread Jalapeños
Dredge each filled jalapeño in the batter, then roll it in the cornbread crumbs until fully coated.

Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Carefully place the breaded jalapeños into the hot oil, frying them in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
