Tri-Tip Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Tri-Tip Sandwich Directions
Prepare the Tri-Tip
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Rub the tri-tip roast with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Ensure it's evenly coated.
Roast the Tri-Tip
Place the tri-tip on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
Rest the Meat
Remove the tri-tip from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain juices.
Slice the Tri-Tip
After resting, slice the tri-tip against the grain into thin slices.
Build the Sandwich
Place a generous amount of sliced tri-tip on the bottom half of each bun. Add your choice of salad ingredients (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber) on top.
Serve
Serve the sandwiches with a side of beans, potato salad, or baked/boiled potatoes as desired.
