Steak and Sides
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Take the New York Strip Steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
- 3
Cook the Steak
Place the steak on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare).
- 4
Prepare the Sides
While the steak is cooking, prepare your choice of sides: bake the potato in the oven at 425°F for about 45 minutes until tender, heat the chili beans on the stove, or serve the potato salad cold.
- 5
Prepare the Salad and Garlic Bread
Toss the mixed salad greens with your favorite dressing. Toast the garlic bread in the oven until golden and crispy.
- 6
Serve
Once the steak is done, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your choice of baked potato, chili beans, or potato salad, alongside the salad and garlic bread.
