Preparation Steps
- 1
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- 2
Prepare the Fettuccini
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine and Serve
Add the cooked fettuccini to the Alfredo sauce and toss until well coated. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Serve with a side of salad, garlic bread, and your choice of baked potato, chili beans, or potato salad.
