Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spiced Meat

Cook the spiced beef or chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces. Season with your choice of spices (cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper) to taste, and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Black Beans

Rinse and drain the black beans. If desired, heat them in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, adding a pinch of salt for flavor.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and olives. Set aside in separate bowls for easy assembly.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Layer the Nachos

On a large serving platter or baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips evenly. Begin layering by adding the spiced meat, black beans, and jalapenos over the chips.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the cheese blend generously over the top of the nachos, ensuring even coverage.

  3. 6

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled nachos in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finishing Touches

  1. 7

    Top the Nachos

Remove the nachos from the oven and immediately top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and sliced black olives.

  2. 8

    Serve with Condiments

Spoon dollops of sour cream over the nachos and serve with a side of salsa for dipping.
