Preparing the Salad Base

Wash the Mixed Greens
Rinse 6 cups of mixed greens under cold water. Drain in a colander and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes
Cut 1 cup of cherry tomatoes in half and set aside.

Slice the Cucumber
Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it into thin rounds. Set aside.

Prepare the Avocado
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Cut into cubes.
Adding Toppings

Prepare the Croutons
Measure out 1 cup of croutons and set aside.

Peel and thinly slice the small red onion. Set aside.
Making the Dressing

Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of honey. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assembling the Salad

In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and avocado cubes.

Sprinkle the sliced red onion and croutons over the salad.

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients.
