Prepare the Burger Patty

Season the Beef
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.

Shape the seasoned ground beef into a round patty, approximately 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.
Cook the Burger Patty

Chargrill the Patty
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the burger and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top.

Continue cooking the burger for another 4-5 minutes until it reaches your desired doneness and the cheese is melted.
