Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing gently with a spatula until just combined.

Add Boiling Water
Carefully stir in the boiling water into the batter. The batter will be thin, but this is normal.
Baking

Pour and Bake
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cakes
Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, remove them from the pans and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
