Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and crumbly.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or your fingers to press it down.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool while you prepare the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add granulated sugar and sour cream, continuing to mix until fully incorporated.

  3. 7

    Mix in Vanilla and Eggs

Add in vanilla extract and mix until combined. Then, add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed just until blended after each addition.

  4. 8

    Incorporate Flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.

  5. 9

    Pour into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.

  7. 11

    Cool and Chill

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
