Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

  6. 6

    Add Chocolate Chips

Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

    Scoop and Bake

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Serve warm.
