Base

Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and garlic powder. Create a well in the center, add olive oil and the activated yeast mixture. Stir until combined.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Assembling the Seasonal Pizza

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough is rising.

  2. 5

    Shape Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll or stretch it into your desired pizza shape (round or rectangular).

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Transfer the shaped dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Tear or slice the fresh mozzarella and distribute it evenly over the base. Add halved cherry tomatoes, then sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and black pepper.

  4. 7

    Bake Pizza

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Finishing Touches

  1. 8

    Garnish

After removing the pizza from the oven, top it with fresh arugula, fresh basil leaves, and drizzle balsamic glaze over the top.

  2. 9

    Slice and Serve

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes, slice it into wedges, and serve warm.
