Ingredients for Traditional Irish Breakfast

Method

Directions for Preparing Traditional Irish Breakfast

  1. 1

    Cook the Meats

In a large frying pan, cook the Irish sausages and rashers of bacon over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and keep warm.

  2. 2

    Fry the Puddings

In the same pan, add the black pudding and white pudding slices. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are heated through and slightly crispy. Remove and keep warm.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

Add a bit of butter to the pan and sauté the mushrooms for about 5 minutes until they are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove and keep warm.

  4. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, fry the eggs over medium heat until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 4-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Heat the Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the baked beans over medium heat until warmed through, about 3-5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Toast the Bread

Toast the slices of bread until golden brown. Spread butter on top.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Breakfast

On a large plate, arrange the sausages, bacon, puddings, sautéed mushrooms, fried eggs, and baked beans. Serve with the toast on the side.
