    Prepare the Mussels

    Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any debris. Remove any beards and discard any mussels that are open or damaged.

    Cook the Garlic

    In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

    Add the Cider and Mussels

    Pour in the Magners Irish Cider and bring to a simmer. Add the cleaned mussels, cover the pot, and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open.

    Finish and Serve

    Stir in the chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Serve the mussels hot with slices of crispy French bread for dipping into the broth.
