Bruschetta Topping

Method

Preparing the Topping

  1. 1

    Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Prepare Basil

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the tomato and garlic mixture.

  4. 4

    Season the Mixture

Add the balsamic glaze, salt, and black pepper to the mixing bowl. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.

  5. 5

    Let it Rest

Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 7

    Slice the Bread

Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  3. 8

    Brush with Olive Oil

Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush each slice with olive oil.

  4. 9

    Bake the Bread

Bake the bread slices in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
