Waffle Ingredients
Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Once the waffle iron is hot, lightly grease it with cooking spray or a little butter. Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to cover the surface and close the lid. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- 4
Prepare the Fruit Topping
While the waffles are cooking, wash and slice the seasonal fruit of your choice.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
Place two waffles on a plate, top with the sliced seasonal fruit, and add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
