Mac & Cheese Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheese Sauce

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes).

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the cheddar, Gruyere, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  4. 4

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Let the mac and cheese cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy, cheesy delight!
