Baking Instructions
- 1
Brown the Butter
In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue cooking until the butter turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 2
Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well blended. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 3
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 4
Mix Everything Together
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5
Bake the Cake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan and pour the batter into it. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve with whipped cream and seasonal fruit.
