Method

Preparing the Coffee

1

Brew the Espresso

Using an espresso machine, brew a single shot of espresso. Pour it into a pre-warmed cappuccino cup.

2

Add Hot Water

Pour 30 ml of hot water into the espresso to dilute it slightly, if desired.

Frothing the Milk

3

Heat the Milk

In a small saucepan, heat 150 ml of milk over medium heat until it is steaming but not boiling.

4

Froth the Milk

Using a milk frother or a whisk, froth the heated milk until it is creamy and has a velvety texture. Aim for a good amount of foam.

Assembling the Cappuccino

5

Combine Espresso and Milk

Slowly pour the frothed milk over the espresso, allowing the foam to rise to the top.

6

Add Toppings

Sprinkle a teaspoon of cocoa powder on top. Add sugar to taste, stirring gently to combine.
