Gyoza Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped A5 Wagyu beef, grated Asian pear, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Fill the Gyoza

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to create a half-moon shape, and pinch to seal tightly. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Sear the Gyoza

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, place the gyoza in the skillet, making sure they are not touching. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

  4. 4

    Steam the Gyoza

Add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid. Let the gyoza steam for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the gyoza from the skillet, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve with pitchfork sauce on the side.
