Method
Preparation of Ingredients
Cook the Rice
Prepare the Mexican rice according to package instructions. Set aside once cooked.
Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside.
Cook the Chicken
In the same skillet, add diced chicken. Cook until no longer pink and fully cooked through. Set aside.
Prepare Toppings
Chop lettuce, prepare pico de gallo, and gather shredded cheese and queso.
Assembling the Mouth Hugger
Warm the Tortilla
In a dry skillet, warm the flour tortilla on medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
Layer the Fillings
On the warmed tortilla, layer the Mexican rice, ground beef, and diced chicken in the center.
Add Cheese and Toppings
Pour queso over the layered meats, then sprinkle shredded cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo on top.
Finish with Sour Cream
Add a generous dollop of sour cream on top of the layered fillings.
Fold the Tortilla
Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom up to enclose all fillings.
Serving
Plate the Dish
Serve the Mouth Hugger on a plate with tortilla chips on the side.
Add Salsa
Serve with a side of salsa for dipping.
