Method
Preparing the Meat
Cook Ground Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 lb of ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with taco seasoning if desired.
Prepare Shredded Chicken
If using pre-cooked shredded chicken, simply warm it up in a saucepan over low heat. If cooking from raw, boil chicken breasts in salted water until cooked through, then shred with two forks.
Cook Chorizo
In a separate skillet, cook 1 lb of chorizo sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
Prepare Pulled Pork
If using store-bought pulled pork, heat it up in a slow cooker or microwave. If making from scratch, slow-cook pork shoulder with spices until tender, then shred.
Assembling the Spread
Warm Tortillas
Warm the soft flour tortillas in a microwave or on a skillet for about 30 seconds until pliable.
Set Up Serving Area
Arrange hard taco shells and soft tortillas on a large serving platter. Place each meat option in separate bowls for easy serving.
Add Chips and Salsa
Place the tortilla chips in a bowl and pour the salsa into a serving dish. Arrange next to the tortillas and meats.
