Special Sauce

Cheddar Cheese Sauce

French Fries

Method

Prepare the Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions and Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are soft and golden, about 10 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 2

    Grill the Patty

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the certified Angus beef patty with salt and black pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

Prepare the Special Sauce

  1. 3

    Mix the Sauce

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. Stir until well combined. Set aside.

Make the Cheddar Cheese Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Once it thickens, add shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Fry the French Fries

  1. 5

    Fry the Fries

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add frozen French fries in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the brioche bun, spread a generous amount of special sauce. Place the cooked beef patty on top, followed by the caramelized onions and mushrooms. Add shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, onion, and tomato. Drizzle with cheddar cheese sauce, then top with the other half of the brioche bun.
