Flat Bread Gorgonzola

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Onions

Peel and slice the onion thinly. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook slowly for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown.

  2. 2

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the butter and minced garlic (mince the garlic cloves finely). Mix well and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Spinach

Rinse the fresh spinach under running water. Drain and pat dry with a clean towel. Roughly chop the spinach.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Flat Bread

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the flat breads on a baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the surface of each flat bread.

  5. 5

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the caramelized onions and chopped spinach over the garlic buttered flat breads. Crumble the gorgonzola cheese over the top. Season with black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake the flat breads in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is melted.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice into pieces, and serve warm.
