Beef Shawarma

Method

Preparation and Serving

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a large bowl, combine garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the beef, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is achieved. Let the beef rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Rice and Salad

While the beef is cooking, prepare the cooked rice and Greek salad. Combine diced cucumber, tomatoes, onions, and feta in a bowl for the salad.

  4. 4

    Serve

To serve, place a portion of sliced beef on a plate alongside a cup of rice, a portion of Greek salad, a scoop of hummus, and a piece of pita bread. Drizzle with garlic sauce or tahini sauce to taste.
