Salad Base

Method

Prepare the Croutons

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Bread

Cut the bread into cubes of about 1 inch.

  3. 3

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the bread cubes, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the bread evenly.

  4. 4

    Bake Croutons

Spread the coated bread cubes onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.

Prepare the Dressing

  1. 5

    Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and anchovy fillets (if using).

  2. 6

    Season Dressing

Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the flavors as desired.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare Romaine

Wash and dry the hearts of romaine. Chop them into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped romaine, toasted croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese.

  3. 9

    Add Dressing

Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine, ensuring all ingredients are well coated.

  4. 10

    Serve

Transfer the salad to a serving platter or individual bowls, and garnish with extra Parmesan if desired. Enjoy your Side Caesar!
