Pasta Preparation

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

Cook the Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Reserve Pasta Water
Before draining the spaghetti, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Then, drain the spaghetti and set aside.

Cook the Pancetta
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the pancetta until it becomes crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.
Combine and Serve

Combine Pasta and Pancetta
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the pancetta and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the pancetta fat.

Divide the spaghetti carbonara onto plates, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
